Invitation to Support

To Our Beloved ‘Ohana,

For both of us, this was more than a business venture but a calling.  It’s been a labor of love too, as we poured our hearts into creating a place where the spirit of Pure Aloha lives.  This venture has been at the core of almost half of our lives–inspiring, shaping, and growing us.

Speaking straight from the heart, we have no regrets and will be forever grateful for the experiences, lessons learned, and most of all the relationships we built and the privilege to positively impact lives.   

As this chapter concludes–Uncle Clay’s House of Pure Aloha as a physical space and a shave ice shop–the calling to share Pure Aloha does not end. We remain deeply committed to future chapters and will continue to contribute to an evolving movement.

 
 

How You Can Give

The greatest gift you can truly give is to live and share the spirit of Pure Aloha in your own way. And, if you feel led to give financially, we humbly share this invitation. 

We are open to receiving donations to help us responsibly address outstanding financial debts. From major losses on our Ala Moana House , impacts of the pandemic, to an increasingly unprofitable business model (despite multiple strategic costly efforts to pivot it), we have accumulated these debts especially in the last handful of years. In full transparency, this is the reality of keeping our small business alive for this long.

Donations received will be just one of several sources to tackle our debts with vendors, credit cards, and friends, family, & bank loans. The other sources are liquidating our equipment & inventory and completing our One World Ohana project.

We will be grateful and glad for any amount of donations. And our total donation wish is $45k. We will accept donations up until March 21 or once we reach our goal, whichever is sooner.

Every gift—no matter the amount—is a reflection of the love and generosity that connects us as a community. Mahalo for considering this opportunity to help perpetuate and celebrate Uncle Clay’s legacy and bless our next chapter of Pure Aloha with fewer financial burdens.
